Lockdown, started in March 2011, is Dublin’s first pop-punk and alternative club night. Within the past two years they’ve dominated the Dublin alternative night-life scene and breathed much needed new life into the city. They’ve worked with companies such as Warner Music Ireland, Kerrang!, Monster Energy, Slam Dunk UK and many more. This weekend I sat down with the brains behind Lockdown, Derek, Jade and Michelle and had a talk about everything from their humble beginnings in Twisted Pepper, to being the leading alternative club night in the city, as they get set to bring the huge Slam Dunk festival to Irish shores for the very first time. They also reveal some exclusive information that you’ll hear here first!
Check out the full in-depth interview after the jump!
